Balliol was represented in three of the four university rowing clubs over the 2016-17 season. Eleanor Shearer (blue boat cox, image right) and Elettra Ardissino (Osiris, 6 seat) were members of the OUWBC squad. In the lightweights we had Moyo Tian at 7 seat of the OUWLRC Blue Boat, and Matthew Smith and Charlie Garner at bow and 2 respectively of Nephthys, representing OULRC (see below). Nephthys raced in one of Balliol’s shells, a four purchased with a generous recent donation.
