Postgraduate student Tessa Haining (Balliol 2023, MPhil Modern Languages) will row in the Oxford University Boat Club Women\u2019s Blue Boat competing against Cambridge in the Gemini Boat Race 2024. Two other Balliol women are in the Oxford Women\u2019s Squad 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rowing at number three, Tessa previously rowed for four years in the Harvard-Radcliffe Rowing crew. Asked what winning the Boat Race would mean to her, she says, \u2018Would be incredible to bring the Boat Race trophy back to Oxford, and to contribute to the legacy of women\u2019s rowing on both the national and international stage.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catherine King (Balliol 2023, DPhil in Cardiovascular Science) and Jennie Astley (Balliol 2022, DPhil Molecular and Cellular Medicine) are also in the Women\u2019s Squad<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
