(NOTE that this is not just on the water but everything to do with rowing and the club wherever so situated)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Capsize<\/strong> or falling out of boat through: inexperience, contact with another rowing boat, contact with other object, equipment or boat failure.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Collision<\/strong> through: contact with static object, moving object, navigation issue, poor visibility or lighting. Collision of boat with rigger on or off the rack, collision of body with boat (head on rigger for example), collision of rigger with boat (rigger damage on rack) etc etc.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Swamping<\/strong> through: rough water, collision with other rowing boat, collision with other object, wash.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Health related<\/strong>: manual handling, respiratory, hypothermia, heat stress, water-borne disease. (only report infected blisters \u2013 ignore normal ones!).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Equipment failure<\/strong>: boat buoyancy, riggers, gates, seats\/feet, steering equipment, bowball, blades\/sculls, safety\/coaching\/rescue launch, PFD\u2019s, throw lines, racking<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Land<\/strong> training due to: weight training, circuit training, running, cycling, indoor rowing, slips\/trips<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Behaviour<\/strong>: vandalism\/violence. Bad navigation. \u2028Help us to help you improve your safety \u2013 even near misses provide important learning points<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All incidents no matter how minor must be reported to the secretary. This includes &#8216;near incidents&#8217;. Please download and complete one of the following forms depending on the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Simple Capsize Report<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A capsize due to a simple technique mistake or competence issue where there was no external cause (e.g. weed or collision), injury, damage to equipment or equipment failure.
